Dear friends: Walk in the Woods is a voluntary, family-oriented 5km walk along the beautiful rolling hills of Kleinburg ON, on the banks on the Humber River. The walk is followed by a delicious food fair, live entertainment, silent auction and a childrens carnival. This annual event will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2019, at the Kleinburg Film Studios located at 11030 Hwy 27, from 11:00 am 4:00 pm. The walk is organized by the Silstar Foundation honouring the memory of Silvana Bozzo, who as a non-smoker lost her life to lung cancer at the age of 58. This organization is focused on spreading lung cancer awareness in non-smokers and raising funds to advance the development of early detection testing, targeted treatment and patient care at the Princess Margaret Hospital.
